Foundation
Most of the foundation’s grant funds are given to organizations. Although
it also makes grants to individuals, they are few in number relative to demand

Rotary
The Rotary Foundation's Ambassadorial Scholarship is the world's largest
privately funded international scholarships program. More than 1,100 scholarships
were awarded for study in 2002-03. Through grants totaling approximately
US$26 million, recipients from some 69 countries studied in more than 64
nations.

Guide
to Funding Resources For African Students Studying Abroad
This list, compiled by The African-American Institute and updated/augmented
by The Rockefeller Foundation, will provide African students interested
in studying abroad, most particularly in North America, or in conducting
research in Africa, with a sampling of organizations that provide awards
for Africans or nationals from developing countries. Also included
are some organizations that provide awards open to all qualified applicants,
and several Africa-related research and information technology resources
on the Internet.

AUCC administers more than 150 scholarship programs on behalf of the
federal government, domestic and foreign agencies and private sector companies.
The website provides information for Canadian students and researchers interested
in studying, doing research or working in Canada or abroad. International
scholars will find funding information on studying and doing research in
Canada.

SSF provides qualified students with rent-free housing scholarships at select

AAUW American
Association of University Women Education Foundation
One of the world's largest sources of funding exclusively for graduate women,
the AAUW Educational Foundation supports aspiring scholars around the globe,
teachers and activists in local communities, women at critical stages of their
careers, and those pursuing professions where women are underrepresented.
Margaret
McNamara Memorial Fund
The MMMF was founded in 1981 in memory of Margaret Graig McNamara, honorary
president of WBFN from 1972 to 1981. Every year, the Fund gives grants to
five or six young women from developing countries engaged in studies for
a degree in the United States.

International Peace Scholarship Fund
Female citizens of countries other than U.S. or Canada may be eligible for
grants, loans, or scholarships up to $6,000, based upon need.
Marilyn Little Scholarship
The International Committee of Altrusa International of Gainesville annually offers the Marilyn Little Scholarship to International students in their fourth year of undergraduate studies or in graduate school studies with a major of particular need in their home country.
Marilyn Little was an active member of Altrusa International of Gainesville and specifically the International Committee. She died in 1996. Marilyn provided financial assistance for a Russian teenager in 1994 who needed medical attention and was brought to Gainesville for treatment. She was very interested in helping international students in any way possible. After her death, Altrusa decided to name a scholarship in her honor.
