PhD Graduate Assistant, Undergraduate Academic Programs
Mr. Ren Liu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Research and Evaluation Methodology in the College of Education. As Graduate Assistant, he supports UFIC’s Undergraduate Academic Programs in a variety of ways. Mr. Liu’s primary responsibility is to implement and monitor the assessment activities of the QEP, “Learning without Borders,” including the application of direct and indirect instruments, data analysis and annual reporting.
Ren Liu is from Beijing, China, and joins UFIC from the University of Pennsylvania where he received a M.S. in Educational Linguistics. His research interests are in the area of psychometrics and measurement, specifically on topics of multidimensional computerized adaptive testing (CAT), equating and linking, cognitive diagnostic modeling (CDM), and multilevel Item Response Theory (IRT) models. Ren has been working in assessment, measurement and program evaluation think tanks for five years in both China and the United States.
