UFIC Support

UFIC Study Abroad Services supports UF faculty members throughout the stages of study abroad program development, implementation and re-entry. Our services include:

  • Providing assistance with original program proposal
  • Communicating with college and department regarding program approval
  • Obtaining off-book approval from DOCE
  • Meeting, discussing and preparing program budget
  • Creating general publicity (flyers; online brochures)
  • Managing study abroad fairs
  • Assisting with additional types of publicity such as info sessions, announcements on website, classroom presentations, etc.
  • Advising interested students on program
  • Managing and approving online applications
  • Preparing financial aid budgets
  • Facilitating mandatory pre-departure session for students
  • Facilitating mandatory faculty orientation
  • Enrolling students in insurance
  • Providing visa assistance (if applicable)
  • Facilitating course registration
  • Generating and sending certification report
  • Acting as a general liaison to departments, OUR, SFA, UFS, Counseling Service, Judicial.
  • Providing risk management and managing overseas crises.
  • Processing transcripts (if transfer-credit program)
  • Facilitating evaluation process
  • Managing re-entry session and all alumni programming opportunities.
