Application Process: How to apply

  • Search for the program you have selected
You can search for your program by name, location or other variables.  Be sure to review the program information to make sure it is the correct program! (NOTE: If you have selected a program or term that does not exist in our website, please complete the Study Abroad Program Proposal and submit it by email).
  • Once you have open the page of your program, click Apply Now
Log in using your Gatorlink ID and password.  At this time, you will be asked to supply your emergency contact information.
  • Click on the program name to access your application
The following screen will have your program name on the left, highlighted in blue where you can click to open your application.
  • Material Requirements
Your application page is divided into several categories on the right side of the screen.  In the Material Submissions section you access instructions for the Academic Advising Form (list of courses you will take abroad-- signed and approved by UF faculty or advisor).  Please read and follow the directions provided for the Academic Advising Form as well as for all material submissions. The International Center will check off these materials after you submit them to our office as instructed online.
  • Signature Documents
Read thoroughly and electronically sign each document.  These include UF policies and procedures, terms and conditions, health insurance information, etc.
  • Questionnaires
Complete all Application Questionnaires.  Please note the importance of the Financial Aid questionnaire, as you must indicate here the type of financial aid you receive, if any.
  • Payments

To secure your space on a program, students are required to complete the Study Abroad application and pay the deposit or service fee early, as programs tend to fill up before the application deadline.
Deposits and Service fees for all study abroad programs (both UF and non-UF) are non-refundable. These funds must be submitted to Study Abroad Services no later than 21 calendar days after beginning an application online, but no later than the UF Study Abroad program application deadline (whichever comes first).

Please meet with Allison Costa, Study Abroad Financial Aid Advisor, to discuss using your financial aid for study abroad BEFORE paying the non-refundable deposit.

Payment can be made by personal check, money order, or cash (in person, with exact change only). Make checks or money orders payable to: University of Florida. Include your UFID, program name and term, and current phone and address on your check.  You may bring your payment to the International Center, or mail to:
