b'STUDENTSpotlightAYOBAMI EDUNAyobami S. Edun was inducted into the UF Hall of Fame and the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society. Ayobami has made a great impact in the fields of Data Science, Machine Learning, Renewable Energy, and Digital Signal Processing. Ayobami was also selected for two of UFICs prestigious awards in 2021: the Scarborough-Maud Fraser Scholarship and the Alec Courtelis Award. Advised by Dr. Joel Harley, he has been selected for induction into the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society. As an inductee, Ayobami attended the 2022 Yale Conference on Diversity and Graduate and presented recent research there. Additionally, he will collaborate with other Bouchet inductees to organize the UF Bouchet Research Symposium.Ayobami is from Nigeria and is currently working on a renewable energy project funded by the Department of Energy. His efforts to make the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering more inclusive and connected have been wildly successful and appreciated. He was awarded the 2021 Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering Attributes of a Gator Engineering Award for Service to the GlobalAyobami S. Edun, Ph.D. Student in Electrical Community. Ayobami also contributed to UFs COVID-19 response,and Computer Engineeringworking with a team building emergency use ventilators, and used his network to help share them with African nations.IMMIGRATION 101INTERNATIONAL STUDENTWORKSHOP SUCCESS!
