I have friends, love, and a support system in Glasgow. I know that no matter where I end up living in my life, this city will always have a piece of my heart. I learn something new every day not just from my classes, but from the conversations I have with friends and strangers alike. Living abroad has also helped me to see my country and the world from a different paradigm. It has also changed how I approach my life. I now see each day as full of endless possibilities. Rather than being afraid of the unknown, like the old me would have undoubtedly been, this experience has taught me that uncertainty can be exciting and joyful. In these moments, the freedom has been palpable. I feel like I can go anywhere I want to go, do whatever I want to do, and be whomever I want to be. In one of my many journal entries from my time here, I wrote that if I could bottle this feeling, University of Glasgow (Academic Year 2022) I would. While that isnt physically possible, I intend to apply my approach to life in Glasgow to the rest of my life moving forward. To remind myself that change is the only certainty we have. To embrace the journey, and all of the beautiful unknowns that it comes with. To approach each day with an open mind, an open heart, and a commitment to live a wide-awake life.To me, study abroad is the opportunity for freedom, adventure, and endless possibilities.UF in PeruHonors Scholars (Summer 2022)UF in MeridaTropical Ecology and Spanish (Summer 2019)22U F INTER NATIONAL CENTER"
