b'OFFICE OF GLOBAL LEARNINGSUPPORTING GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT FOR STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFFINTERNATIONAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM WINS PRESTIGIOUS CAREER INFLUENCER AWARDThe International Scholars Program (ISP) was honored with the 2024 Career Influencer Award from the UF Career Connections Center. This award recognizes the programs contributions in developing students global and professional skills to meet the expectations of future employers. Receiving this recognition on its tenth-year anniversary underscores the programs enduring influence and impact. Over this decade, the ISP has continuously grown and currently has over 1,400 students enrolled. In 2023-2024 the program produced 150Paloma Rodriguez, Taylor Simpson graduates, setting a new record.and JaNet GloverCOLLABORATIVE ONLINE INTERNATIONAL LEARNING (COIL) PROGRAM FOR UF STAFF In spring 2024 the Office of Global Learning launched its inaugural COIL for Staff program in collaboration with CEU Cardenal Herrera University in Spain. Staff members with various professional backgrounds from both universities participated in this semester-long virtual exchange program, in which they shared best practices in their respective professional fields and discussed creative ways to implement improvements. Working collaboratively with partners abroad allowed participants to gain global perspectives and intercultural skills, engage in innovative ways of thinking and working, and grow personally and professionally. A second phase of this project will involve an in-person visit to the UF and CEU campuses for selected participants.
