Language, Nation & Globalization- October 13-14, 2005
First Graduate Interdisciplinary Colloquium on Hispanic/Latin American Literatures, Linguistics and Cultures
9:00am, Reitz Union
Given the strategic proximity of the state of Florida to many Latin American countries and the complex demographic reconfiguration the state has undergone through several migratory flows, our colloquium intends to enhance the understanding of the historical and cultural relations between Latin America, Spain, and the United States.
The Spanish graduate students of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Florida invite you to participate in this Interdisciplinary Colloquium that will explore notions of language, discourse and nation as well as culture in an increasingly globalize world.
