UFIC Scholarship Application

Application Process for all UFIC Scholarships

Complete the online scholarship application by clicking the "Apply Now" button and submitting the following:

  • Essay: 350-450 words maximum.
    This essay should illustrate that you have considered the impact this program will have on your career and life aspirations. In the essay you should discuss:

    • Why you have chosen to study abroad
    • How your study abroad program will help you achieve your goals (personal, professional, academic, etc.)
  • Community Service/Extra-curricular Activities: 300 words maximum.
    Please articulate what you are most proud of in your community service and/or involvement with extra-curricular activities. 
  • Brief Statement of Financial Need: 150 words maximum.
    Please clearly communicate your current financial needs. This is an opportunity to address any extenuating circumstances or other concerns that impact your financial situation.

Eligibility for Summer Scholarships: 

  • Each applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA to apply.
  • Students must be on a program that lasts at least 26 days.
    NOTE: Students applying for summer scholarships will apply under the Summer C term even if they are studying in Summer A or Summer B.
  • Each applicant must be a UF degree seeking student to qualify for consideration. 
  • Students do not have to have selected a study abroad program in order to apply for scholarships.
  • Students must be taking at least 6 overseas credits to be eligible for a scholarship.

Eligibility for Semester and Academic Year Scholarships:  

  • Each applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA to apply.
  • Students must be on a program that lasts at least 3 months (semester) or one full Academic Year (Fall/Spring Semesters).
  • Each applicant must be a UF undergraduate degree seeking student to qualify for consideration. 
  • Students do not have to have selected a study abroad program in order to apply for scholarships.
  • Students must be taking at least 12 overseas credits to be eligible for a semester scholarship.
  • Students must be taking at least 24 overseas credits to be eligible for an academic year scholarship.
