There are more than 40 eating establishments at 16 locations on campus. Everything from fast food to a full meal is available. Visit the Gator Dining Services website for a listing of these places and a location map.
There are two full-scale dining facilities on campus that offer all-you-can eat meals. Gator Corner serves traditional home-style meals along with pizza, pasta, and hamburgers. Gator Corner has healthy and vegetarian options as well. Fresh Food Company dining center offers international and American cuisine with chefs who can prepare your order to your liking.
UF meal plans are convenient and economical. The two residential dining facilities are not only popular places to eat, but are also popular destinations for socializing with friends and studying with groups.
Students can purchase meal plans if they are planning to eat on campus frequently. There are two types of meal options that are offered; meal plans and declining balance accounts.
- Open access plans allow you to eat UF's residential dining facilities whenever you choose to do so and you can eat as much as you would like.
- You can also purchase 14 meals per week.
- You can purchase a plan of 150 meals a semester.
- You can also go to the dining centers and pay a set price for each meal.
You can also create a declining balance account. With a declining balance account, you can use your Gator 1 card to pay for food at any of the 40 locations on campus. You decide how much money to put in this account. Declining Balance is convenient if you want to eat on campus frequently but you do not want to carry cash. There is no fee for setting this up and no minimum balance is required.
Commuter Meal Plans
There are two options for off-campus students: the 75 Block and 50 Block Commuter Meal Plans. These small, convenient plans allow off-campus students to enjoy on-campus dining for a discounted price. Each block of meals rolls over on a weekly basis, concluding at the end of the semester. These meals can be redeemed at the Fresh Food Company at Broward Dining, Gator Corner Dining Center, Home Zone in the Reitz Union, and the Orange and Brew in the Reitz Union. In addition, both meal plans include “Flex Bucks” so you can eat all over campus at places such as Starbucks Coffee, Chick-fil-A, Subway, and more. These plans are available exclusively to students living off-campus.
Kosher Meal Plans
Looking for a Kosher meal plan? In partnership with UF Hillel, we are pleased to offer two kosher-only plans and two kosher optional upgrades to any of Gator Dining's meal plans. Choose from either 5 or 10 meals per week at the Olam Café in the UF Hillel Building (Normal H. Lipoff Hall) for kosher-only meals. Or you can purchase an upgrade of 20 or 40 meals that can be redeemed at the Olam Café or at UF's dining halls (Fresh Food Company, Gator Corner Dining Center, Home Zone or Orange and Brew). Meals at the Olam Café are provided for lunch and dinner services.
A flexible way to eat
One of the great things about the meal plans is its flexibility. Along with the meals at any Gator Dining locations, your plan includes a special declining balance supplement called Flex Bucks. Depending on the option you choose, you'll get between $100 - $430 per semester to use at any of the other dining locations on campus.
