Applications for the certificate are made to the College of Public Health and Health Professions.
The requirements for the certificate and courses within it are approved by a cross-college advisory committee to the Certificate Program.
Other issues (from the guidelines)
Non-degree students must complete coursework for the Certificate with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Only coursework with a letter grade of B or better will transfer into the Certificate program.
The College of Public Health and Health Professions does not currently offer a concentration in Global Health, however it may at some point in the future. The current application for a graduate certificate would provide a lower level of professional skill than a complete concentration and is designed to meet the needs of students in a wide range of disciplines for a better understanding of key global health threats and their causes.
There is no current certificate program for which a transition strategy is needed.
